On February 11, as we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the theme “From vision to impact: Redefining science and engineering by closing the gender gap” resonates deeply across the Caribbean. Science is not only a driver of innovation and sustainable development; it is also a reflection of equity and inclusion. Yet, despite progress, women are under-represented in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), which remain male-dominated fields.
